18 Years & Still Hooked with Fish Thailand!
Andy Tibbett from England has enjoyed a wonderful Thailand fishing journey after his discovery of the incredible fishing Thailand has to offer began with his first Fish Thailand guided fishing tour 18 years ago to Bungsamran Lake in Bangkok. Ever since Andy experienced the addictive power of the Mekong catfish and the majestic beauty of the Siamese carp to enormous proportions, he has been returning every year without fail for another fishing adventure with Fish Thailand.
Monster Carp & Catfish Success
This latest Bangkok fishing trip to Bungsamran Lake saw him fish two day trips with Fish Thailand guide Chaen, fishing bungalow number 20 at the lakes far end bay on his first day and bungalow number 1 on his second day. Sensibly Andy had booked a day off to recover from the tiring battles with monster fish on the middle day!
A total of 31 fish were landed of which 2 fish were over 100lb in the two days fishing Bungsamran Lake, the majority of which were Mekong catfish caught using “lam” bait (ground rice husk) on the method feeder beneath a float. Several Siamese carp (10 in fact) were also landed the best being a huge specimen which gave Andy a run around and a powerful struggle.
