Bangkok floods 2011 simply did not effect any of our fishing venues, roads or any downtown areas of Bangkok at all. The worst case was as pictured above at Bungsamran Lake whereby the water crept over the bungalow platforms by two inches for just three days before receding to normal.
Many tourists cancelled their trips to Thailand or Bangkok due to the news reports broadcast so inaccurately across the globe. The truth is that throughout all of this The Fish Thailand Team were still driving all over the city collecting anglers from their downtown hotels and driving them across the country and Bangkok to various fishing venues without so much as seeing a puddle of water out of place.
For anglers like Andy Pearce who came fishing during this period the results were terrific, landing plenty of decent fish to over 100lb.
