Before
we role into catch reports and fishery
news, let's start with this typical
setting above as the Thai sun descends and
puts close to another wonderful day at
Jurassic Mountain Fishing Resort. Being
met with this stunning view of Jurassic at
the start of their
Thailand fishing
holiday, anglers are already melting with
satisfaction and that's before they even
wet a line. For so many anglers the
setting is so very important and makes up
a big part of their overall experience, it
is easy to see why Jurassic is our most
popular and well reviewed
fishing in
Thailand venue.
Another massively important part of the
perfect fishing holiday puzzle is the
tackle provided to anglers. Imagine
stepping amongst these stunning lake views
and setting up in your swim with top of
the range, beautifully clean and serviced
tackle. The Solar P1 Worldwide Rod Pod is
gleaning in the sun and the Delkim bite
alarms starring at you in anticipation. At
this point the fish are just the icing on
the cake to most. In knowing this Jurassic
have gone one step further than any
other fishing venue in Thailand which
leads onto the fishery news.....
JURASSIC MONSTER TACKLE
|
|
This is
not only breaking news for Jurassic but
for the entire
Thailand fishing scene.
Thoughtfully designed and rigorously
tested, Jurassic Monster Tackle fills the
void of European / UK style carp fishing
tackle concepts that can actually cope
with the brutality of Thailand's gigantic
freshwater fish species. The carp rigs are
pre-tied to an effective length for
hooking Siamese carp, the hair length is
perfect for 2-3 big baits such as 25mm
pellet. The hook itself is the critical
break through, Jurassic developed one that
is finally strong enough to not bend out
on carp to 200lb while still retaining UK
size 4. Previously it was easy to find a
strong hook in huge saltwater sizes but
not in traditional sizes 2 or 4. This
also means more hook-ups from powerful but
shy biting species, which are plentiful at
Jurassic!
For those anglers who book a trip with
Fish Thailand to Jurassic for 3 or more
days fishing, they will receive the above
complete Jurassic Monster Tackle set and
bag for free - a gift to take away. There
are plenty of tackle items that can be
used at home such as catapult, silicone
tubing, tail rubbers, braid scissors,
leads, swivels, beads and not to mention
the 'leads & bits' bag itself. |

100lb Carp at Last for Perry
Fish Thailand's
most regular angler to Jurassic is
Perry Noakes, who has already
caught no end of
Thai fish species, including some
monster carp to 185lb. This trip Perry
banked yet another carp over 100lb which
he puts down to a few simple changes to
hook presentation and adding flavours (available
at Jurassic's tackle shop) to give the
edge.
He worked the inside line with both rods
at slightly different distances and depths
to set up a series of takes landing
several specimen Siamese carp. |

Niger Ripsaw Catfish for Simon
It doesn't get much more
exotic fishing in
Thailand than this for return angler Simon
Parkyn who was pleasantly surprised to get
a run from this Niger ripsaw catfish. The
jagged knife hooks running along it's
lateral line ensure this species is very
carefully handled.
Simon's carp fishing was in true Jurassic
style with his first two days seeing him
land two Siamese carp over 100lb which was
part of a 24 fish haul!
During his 9 day Jurassic
fishing Thailand
adventure Simon had lost two arapaima in a
row, one being frustratingly close to the
net. However his last day ended in glory
as Simon finally banked a monster
arapaima. All in all his fishing holiday
was a huge success landing several fish
over 100lb amongst several species. |
