With just a single day to spare, he booked a one-day guided fishing tour in Bangkok with Fish Thailand.
Their adventure began with their professional fishing guide, Wee, collecting them from their Bangkok hotel. They were driven to the iconic Bungsamran Lake, where Fish Thailand’s private lakeside fishing bungalow was ready and waiting. This peaceful setting offered a deceptive sense of calm—because the moment the first fish was hooked, the real action began.
It wasn’t long before Richard and Charlie were locked into battle with the powerful Mekong catfish, a fight that left little time to relax. The bites came thick and fast all day long, each encounter with these giant Thai fish sapping more energy from the father-and-son duo.
