Jungle Carp Fishing Raft
Fish Thailand's private carp fishing raft is perfect for jungle carping. Six to eight rods are setup 'tip-high' in the custom rod-holders at the front of the bamboo fishing deck; while the anglers await a run sat in the comfort of the shaded raft. Gas cooker, kettle & cooking equipment is an essential part of a carp anglers armour - all of which is provided for an early morning bacon sandwich or cup of tea. The cool, clear and clean water surrounding the raft is an immediate and effective relief from the heat of a day, surrounded by mountains and jungle. A primitive but practical toilet is found at the back of the raft. The raft is towed into position above the pre-baited area by Fish Thailand guides prior to the anglers arrival. Anchored in position and ready to fish for the vast shoals of Indian Carp - this is simply the most beautiful and most private carp fishing swim on earth.

300Kg Pre-Baited Carp Fishing Swim
Fish Thailand guides who live on Khao Laem Dam will pre-bait a swim with 300Kg of bait over five days prior to fishing. The exact location of the pre-baiting is determined by sightings of rolling carp over the weeks leading upto fishing. Khao Laem Dam is a huge freshwater ocean and to most anglers an impossible carp fishing challenge; however Fish Thailand guides produce successful wilderness carp fishing results time and time again. One baited swim can be fished for two days, for four day fishing packages two swims will be baited - a total of 600Kg of bait.

Time Of Year
The most important factor for successful Indian carp fishing in the wilderness is the time of year. The water levels must be high after the monsoon season; from October through to the end of January.
