Mekong Catfish Fishing in Bangkok
Phil Straw booked in two days fishing in Bangkok with the Fish Thailand Team - mission was BIG fish and great fun!
Day one was not off to the greatest of starts as a decent Siamese carp spat the hook after a few minutes of being hooked. Later in the day a decent Mekong catfish of over 100lb was almost beat when it then found a snag out in the lake where the old bridge used to be. Regretfully the line was shredded through the snag and the fish lost. The rest of the day was spent playing 40lb Mekong catfish one after the other.
Day two fishing in Bangkok and much better luck with a 95lb Mekong catfish landed - not before it ploughed through 7 bungalows causing Alley to enter the water and chase it through a maze of bungalow supports!
The day finished with a beautiful specimen sized pacu - a great couple of days fishing.
