Swedish angler Per has fished with Fish Thailand on a number of occasions in the past landing Mekong catfish with his Thai in-laws to just under 100lb. His father-in-law goes by the name 'look Andaman' roughly translated as 'child of the Andaman' as his home is in the South of Thailand on the door step of the Andaman Sea.
This trip however was a first for brother-in-law 'Gop' while a slightly twisted pleasure was taken in setting Gop up with a string of angry Mekong catfish!
Soon enough though it was the in-laws turn to get the last of the smiles as they witnessed Per himself fight to exhaustion with his biggest Mekong catfish to date - a 110lb beauty.
