Globe Trotting big fish hunter Kaare Pedersen from Denmark revisited Bungsamran with new targets to beat. On his previous visit, his friend Nils caught a cracking Siamese carp and Kaare caught a 100lb Mekong catfish - now Kaare wanted to beat his PB Mekong and catch a big Siamese carp too.
With several days fishing in Thailand available Kaare managed to catch a lovely brace of Siamese carp to 37lb and also some Chao Phraya catfish to 38lb. A bonus pacu thrown in too for good measure but the heaviest fish caught was his 132lb (60kg) Mekong catfish.
In the week long Bangkok fishing package Kaare witnessed some slow days with not much action coupled with the greater days which are the reasons that keep all anglers fishing! Next trip Kaare will be wanting to improve his Siamese carp weights and also catch an arapaima, Fish Thailand's catch reports will keep readers posted......
