Sam had previously come fishing in Bangkok with Fish Thailand for Mekong catfish. Much like most of the angling population of the England, this time Sam had his hopes set on catching a Siamese giant carp. A days fishing for this specie even in Thailand's best fishing lake such as Bungsamran - was a long shot.
Fishing daily at Bungsamran Lake, Fish Thailand guides do however hold the advantage of knowing where the Siamese carp are showing on any given day; with this in mind the day began.
Not long into the session, first bite infact resulted in Sam playing a cracking Siamese carp of 60lb - already a successful carp fishing session. Later in the afternoon Sam completed the brace with his second carp of the day - slightly smaller at 44lb.
