Nathan had been fishing in Thailand at Bungsamran a couple of times previously and so knew what to expect. His previous best fishing in Thailand was a cracking 80lb + giant Mekong catfish creating a huge challenge to beat this in a 1 day fishing trip with his buddy Rob - who had not previously experienced fishing in Thailand.
Unbelievably Nathan's first cast connected him with a Thailand monster Mekong catfish - fishing only 10 minutes into the session! His previous experience came in very useful indeed, employing text-book techniques to win the fight and land this tremendous 101 lb giant Mekong catfish. Nathan will do very well to beat this anywhere fishing in Thailand!
Rob also showed some true form after gruelling away at a beautifully conditioned 60lb giant Mekong catfish later in the day.
